supervision

supervision of spiritual companions/peer-to-peer support

Companioning others on their spiritual journeys is a privilege, a vocation that is to be practiced with reverence and care. As we hold all that is entrusted to us, a need arises to bring the feelings and movements present within us to another companion for gentle accountability and support. This support is called supervision and is widely considered an ethical responsibility for those who engage in the deep work of spiritual direction.

A supervisor is a peer spiritual director trained in creating a safe space for a director to tend to themselves in their work as a spiritual companion. This relationship is fully in service to the spiritual director as they reflect on their own experience in the work of sacred listening. It is not focused on the directee and maintains the confidentiality of the session. Instead, the director explores any barrier to their own ability to be fully present and the supervisor gently guides toward increased awareness and personal and professional wholeness.

I offer supervision on a sliding scale from $80-$100 per one hour session. Contact me for more information, or to schedule a complimentary consultation.
